Hanson Bridgett LLP is growing again.
The San Francisco-based law firm said it will open an office in Walnut Creek, its fifth location, as of Aug. 1.
“The addition of our Walnut Creek office represents a great opportunity to expand our client services and presence into the East Bay” said Andrew Giacomini, Hanson Bridgett managing partner.
The new office space at 1676 N. California Blvd. will also be occupied by Keiretsu Forum, an investment network of accredited private equity investors, whose members fund diverse start-ups and emerging-growth companies. Keiretsu Forum will be a sub tenant of Hanson Bridgett.
The two entities have a formal sponsorship relationship by which they collaborate on business start-ups and early stage venture financing.
Hanson Bridgett, with more than 150 lawyers, last year doubled the size of its Sacramento office after recruiting 11 real estate and construction lawyers from McDonough Holland & Allen PC, which disbanded.
In 2008 Hanson Bridgett opened an office in Foster City after the firm recruited a dozen lawyers from McQuaid Bedford & Van Zandt LLP.
