TORONTO, ON. – (November 5, 2015) – Keiretsu Forum, the world’s largest angel investor network will launch its fourth Central Canadian chapter in Vaughan, Ontario on November 19th 2015 in partnership with the City of Vaughan. Keiretsu Forum will now have seven active chapters across Canada and 40 chapters across the globe. Keiretsu will be working closely with the VICC (Vaughan International Commercialization Center), an initiative focusing on helping companies in their efforts to soft-land in North America by leveraging the Vaughan region’s entrepreneurial and innovative eco-system.
“Keiretsu Forum Central Canada is eager to help the VICC strengthen their bridge with our international chapters in the US, China and Israel. To celebrate the launch we will have 3 non-Canadian presenting companies from New York, Portland and Tel Aviv, Israel.” said Ozan Isinak, President of Keiretsu Forum Central Canada.
Companies engaging with Keiretsu Forum Central Canada will now have the unique opportunity to present in front of active angel investors via a two-day road show of London, Waterloo, Vaughan and Toronto. It is not all about capital. It is also about licensing and distribution. Qualifying companies have the ability to syndicate globally for capital as well as for new distribution partners and new clients.
Kevin Sterling, President of the Keiretsu Forum Toronto chapter added, “Our newest chapter will ensure that accredited investors north of Toronto are provided a steady flow of quality deals from early stage Canadian and international companies. The VICC activities fit perfectly into the international syndicated deal funding activities of Keiretsu Forum.”
“Our ability to develop and implement Keiretsu Forum’s global best practices continue to increase the quality of Canadian deals. In my opinion this is one of our most valuable contributions to the Canadian entrepreneurial landscape. We are able to compete on a global scale.” Said Anna Han, Director of Entrepreneurship of Keiretsu Forum Central Canada.
City of Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua shared his thoughts on Keiretsu’s latest expansion. “It’s a pleasure to welcome the Vaughan chapter of Keiretsu Forum to the Vaughan International Commercialization Centre. Their success in high-quality, diverse investments will be an asset to the centre and to our business community. As a growing city, we know that by supporting ideas to promote innovation and leading-edge thinking, we will place Vaughan at the forefront of 21st-century cities and allow us to take our place on the world stage.”
Keiretsu Forum members receive access to high quality deal flow from around the world by enjoying the benefits of collectively screening and syndicating those companies receiving the most interest from investors in each chapter.
